Ulu Bendul

Ulu Bendul is situated between Senawang and Kuala Pilah. A place to relax by the river or having a picnic or splashing water or nature call..
I was there just a short stop on my way to Kuala Lumpur. So I didn't really explore around. This river is at the bottom of a hill called Gunung Angsi. I was on the top of this hill few years back. Will try to post some photos and my 1 cents worth on the way up the hill.
Looking at the river remind me of my younger days at Air Panas river at Gunung Ledang in Johor. How I enjoy swimming in the river and at times watching the a piece of shit swimming in front of me following the river current. While swimming in the river I can't imagine how much of the water I have swallowed. ugh...

Kg Air Itam in Negeri Sembilan

On the back to my wife home town..

Above is a trunk road off my destination. The trunk road follows the hill. Goes up and down. And it is narrow too. As I have driven on this road night. It is quite scary.


Oil palm plantation next to the road. Oil palm currently is the largest plantation in Malaysia. In the photo the planted not long ago. Fruits from it.. wait lor.. a few more years for harvesting.


Another view of the truck road leads to the horizon.


A rubber plantation. This was taken sometime in the afternoon. Not one soul is found in this plantation.

Above is the kampung kind of environment as oppose to the city which is colourful. Life jungle in kampung and concrete jungle in the city. Fresh air compare to exhaust air. So which is the choice of retirement?

A view from STAR LRT Masjid Jamek Station

In the past and past few days, I transfer myself from one station to another. Which prompt me to take my camera and go for some shots.

Here is the platforms. Where the trains arrive and stop in the centre. This platform is elevated a few storey high. I was taking from one end of the platform.


This was taken around 6.30 pm. Taffic is quite bad here, due to a number of traffic lights along the road. That is train arriving the station.


Opposite direction is where the cars come into this road. The building to the right is OCBC Bank.


A river which flows under the station.


The other side of the platform. I was there around 2.30 pm. While waiting for the train, press the shutter button a few times.

Visiting Hyatt Saujana Hotel

Above are photos taken within the hotel. I was there waiting for my wife to attend her course. While waiting, I took the chance to explore the hotel. I like to look around a nice hotel, to enjoy the beautiful work done the hotel. Be it the garden or the room or the dining area, I am always captivated by the beauty of it. The only problem I won't be staying there mainly of the price. Most of the time, I am in a hotel to enjoy the buffet.. hehehe..

A view from within higher level in a building.
As I was entering this building, I found this is a good photo shoot. With the clear blue sky, that means no cloud. This amazed me as I always get to see cloud. Not that day. My lucky day.

KL Tower and a new building, a residential building in front. The vertical lines are the cable used for windows cleaner.

A view of a car park. Along Jalan Raja Chulan, there are a lot greens. Walking beneath this tree does cooling effect. It block the sun and reduce harzadous gas from human.

Batu Caves Temple

I wanted to be here to do some photographing on this temple. I have mention it many times but never there. On that day my brother went there to visit the cave. So I joined him.

Upon seeing the stairs. I suddenly felt I can't make it to the top.

This is a Hindu temple. Upon arrival at the entrance to stairs, I thought a ticket is required to enter. As I get closer, "not need la", I told myself.

The stairs did look threatening. I was puffing up the stairs. Resting, taking my breath and climbing again. Did that a few times.

As I was getting close to the mouth of the cave. I can the enormous rock forming the mouth of the cave. It was fantastic to stand there and watched the rock loomed in front of me.

Monkeys waiting to be fed. Some gave bananas, some gave peanuts. Me handed out nothing but taken theirs photo.

I was about to reach the top.

I was at the mouth of the cave. The have railing, because the floor was wet. I didn't used them because I need two hands on my camera.

This the main entrance exiting the cave. I took this when I was in the middle of the cave. It was quite dark. As can be seen there was a small openning up there.

The stairs to another level in the cave. From where I was standing there was a place for prayer on the left of me.

The inside of the higher floor. Where people perform their prayer to Hindu God. I didn't eplored deeper. This was where I stopped and took all the scenes I want.

As I was photographing this, a guy warned me about the railing in front of me. Saying that there was blood on it. I almost tripped and hold the railing.

I was trying to capture the magnificant of the rocks. The main entrance can be seen at the bottom right. Descending the stairs to the centre of the cave was carefully done as the stairs was wet and slippery. Of course there were railings for support. I didn't used them, for I worried there was blood on it.

On my way out. Wanted to capture the light from the entrance. At the entrance, was a shop selling food and drinks and some other things that I can't recalled.

As I was reaching the mouth of the cave to exit the cave. The same guy from west came over to me and show me a photo he has taken. A silhoutte, as what I have taken above. Very nice of him to show me this opportunity. Else I would have missed it. It is nice to share ideas among photography friends, but on that day I was on my own. The best part is some stranger which is not from Malaysia shared his idea to me. Thanks to that guy..

And then the descending of the large stairs, it is quite threacherous. And I was having tired legs. At that point of time, I was hoping that my legs did not go against me, else it will be a very quick doing down. I was not able to photograph more, because I was out of film and my digicam was not with me due to battery out of juice. I was wondering how I could have forgotten of backup film. A lesson learned, but I never improved, felt like an old man or worst than an old man.

I was in a tall building. I was on 25th floor.

Sometime in the afternoon. Lucky for me, the whole day was sunny. If it start to rain I won't be able to photo this and those below in many colors.

Try to photo it in horizontal. As the KL tower is slanting to the centre of the photo. This mean I am at a lower level compare to the height of KL Tower.

This is what KLSE looks from the top. Those cars down there really looks like ants lining up.

Later in the evening. The sky is darker.

After half an hour from the previous photo.

Those view from the top is really captivating. I almost forgot to took photos from 25th floor. As I was so immersed in the view. I was considered lucky as I was carrying my digicam in my small backpack else I miss chance to do this. So always carry you camera with you, will never know when opportunities arrive.
