Genting Highlands Trip

I was there for a family gathering. On arrival we went straight to the outdoor theme park. Ticket already purchased. Price is priceless as it was free.
There goes the turning thing, merry-go-round?? I ride this thing with my son. It feels funny being on that thing at this age. What choice do I have.

There he goes. He did not look happy. Either he is worried or... I can't think of anything else.



This is one event I cannot get my son on. As his height does not allow him on it. Quite the number of people lining up for it.

There it goes, flinging human in the air. I am sure it is fun, wish I was on it. Actually, I have tried it in over the sea, in a theme park. This one is a bit quiet. The one I have tried, has a human asking the flinging human to response to questions, like "you want more", then the reply in unison "yes!!".

Kids, my son and his cousins. This was at the one of the entrance. This is an interesting place for the kids. Of course with guidance.

Saw this tricycle, it was for show. At that point of time I was separated from the group. Me with the stroller and camera in hand. It was a challange to push the stroller with one hand, as the stroller is quite heavy.

Lake, where you get to take a "boat" ride. Instead of using hands to row the boat, the legs are in action. Cycle your life to go some where. There are people getting the boats side by side and cycle. Should have to a shot of that.

Theme park view from the hotel room. I was staying in the First World Hotel. I was taken aback for not knowing this hotel is having the most rooms in the world. Gotta kick me in the ass.

Red color bus from London? Hmm.. must be true, since this bus is quite old. The door to inside the bus is closed. Hmm.. what is inside the bus? Teleportation to London? Hehehe...

A mini caterpillar train. Took a ride in it, curious what is around the theme park. Mainly for my son to enjoy it.

A big battery on a wall of a building. Saw this earlier and wanting to photo it. But got a better view from the caterpillar train. This must be powering the building behind it.

A space shuttle? Till now I still didn't get it, Why I was not there to have a peep what is inside. Sorry folks! Search the net please.

"Wow! Make way! Make way!" or was it "Help! Mommy where are you?!" Hmm.. I was letting go the opportunity to play this. A very lousy reason is, my son is with me.

After some days, which I can't recalled how many days have past, new leaves grow. Just looking at it, we as human get to do the same. Of course not our human parts. If I fall, I can always start at some point and continue. (update 16-08-08)

Hmm.. till today I still can't remember why I started this hobby.

Before I did some pruning on the tree. I prepare the turn table, which I got it from IKEA. Can't remember how much I spend on it. Used newspaper to collect the unwanted leaves. Start with enthusiasm. After hours...



There goes the tree after pruning. This I learned from the sifu. But I still lacked the skill to get it to the look I preferred. I did not totally removed all the leaves. The reason is I am lazy. It is quite a tedious work. Stopped few hours, then continued.. and it is getting late...

But it is a healthy hobby. And you get to do additional work, that is watering the tree. Many says it is the old people hobby. So they will give negative comments. "So young do this thing ar.."

My Fish

my gold fish... started not long ago. the only difficulty would be how long will this fish survive. given he/she expensive food, which stated on the pack should help the fish lives better. at this moment I have only one. was looking for another one to spent time with the fish. Couldn't find the one I like.

My collection

I have been crazy about time piece for sometime. Above is my new addition. With it's low price, and quality finishing, I am glad I am one of the owner. This watch is mechanical, no battery is required but it relies on human energy. The watch is skeletonised, where most of the mechanical parts can be viewed. The box looks like it is made of wood, actually it is something hard but not wood, more like a plastic. Looking at the box, I was surprised it look this good. This watch tells time, of course it does, besides that, it tells the date, the day and 24 hours. The brand is printed on the watch. The model is AR100. It is good that in Malaysia have this. I am hoping more watches similar to this is brought into Malaysia too.

Chinese New Year 2008

I was taking a monorail from Raja Chulan station to KL Sentral Station. While passing Berjaya Time Squares complex, I saw a hugh lion head that is similar to those used in Lion Dance. This prompted me to decide a photo shooting to capture this spectacular Lion Head at this size.
Few days later... Of I went to Berjaya Time Squares complex. This was located in the building facing the main entrance. Celebrating Chinese New Year and welcome patrons.

Bala's Holiday Get Away in Cameron Highlands

I was in Cameron Highlands for holidays last month. Bala's Chalet was one of the place I visited. It was located between Tanah Rata and Brinchang town.
This place look similar to Smoke House. The only thing about Smoke House is that you can see it from the main road. One have to be watching for sign board to go to Bala's. It provide rooms and dinings. My purpose there was for tea and scones. It is a good place for scones. I have tasted their apple pie too. It is yummy. That is the main entrance.
There goes the sign post giving the direction within Bala's compound. With this sign post, one knows where to go. But how many will noticed.
This is the right wing when facing the entrance.
In front of the right wing is a garden where I had my tea.

I left a foot print with him jumping around. hehehe..

More from Cameron Highlands

Hmm.. actually there are photos of Cameron Highlands in my recent post. This time different set of pictures were taken. A cool place I guess, no fan or air-con is needed. But sometimes some sort of hand fan is being hunted, when the grinning sun is high up.

On my way up to the mountain, stopped at a town call Ringlet. To be precised, at a petrol station, taking a leak cause the water bag was full. A closed up of a Land Rover. News says this stuff does goes around the mountain road at high speed. So watch out for it. And don't block them, just give way. Put on your car signal, wave your hand or do whatever to tell them to over take your vehicle.
These vehicles can be classified as 'dinosaurs'. Looking at it, giving an idea these vehicles can fall a part the moment it start rolling on the road. So becareful and don't be surprise seeing a wheel pass you.

We check into a hotel. The next morning the ray of light barging in to the room. Standing behind the curtain with the window opened. There goes the vegetable farm. A source of income to people in Cameron Highlands.
A man with his wants, becomes a need, leeds to addiction, hard to quit. Was trying to find an angle for this guy in my shot. Since he is naturally there, I can't get him to post the way I want him to.
The beauty of morning sunlight really made me look at it for long moment. Seeing the horizon with blue sky and white cloud.

At times there is mist lying on the foot of the mountain. Make the cool become cooler. The man is still there enjoying the smoke. Just does the smoking warmed him up?

Roamed around to soak my eyes in beautiful flowers. This happened to be on the torns. I didn't know cactus blooms flower as beautiful as this. Translucent petals.
This amazed me too. Would the flower feeled the pricky torns belows it? Maybe.. maybe not.. I think not, as it is a part of it.
Patterns can be found when they are arranged. Cactus always looks beautiful in it owns way. It does attract a lot of human, even though it does not welcome them. All the cactus was found in a farm and it is for sale.


I was here for tea. It is call Smoke House, located between Tanah Rata and Brinchang. Inside, it has a British setting. A place to visit when you are there. As most of it is preserved as it is. I have photoed this place a many times. Just can't get the camera away from the place.
