Flowerthon

Floral display at Sunway Pyramid, actually I was there to capture Chinese New Year decoration. I have read it in the newspaper, there are floral competition going on in shopping complexes and hotels.
So I took the chance to photo these. And I recalled my digital camera battery was out of juice. I guess it was a bee, a hugh one. There was another of this hanging on the artificial tree.

The amount of flower used was alot. But I can't pictured the scene here. I saw something crawling on top of it. And I freezed it in this photo.

A caterpillar in colors. That was what found on top of it. I was quite amazed at the idea of these decoration.

Another interesting theme, under water more like under the sea. Unfortunately, those fishes were plastics. Overall it was beautiful.

Here goes the flower in circle. There was these guys around changing those dying flowers to a fresher ones.

Decoration along Sunway Pyramid

These photos were taken after the Christmas day.
Snowman and the sleigh, the decoration along the road were interesting. As i wrote this the decoration changed to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Snow in colors and enlarged to giant size with electric flowing through it. I was there taking photo by myself, while my wife and son is waiting in the hotel lobby. It was drizzling out there. Else will strolled my son to see the lighting, he likes it alot.
Ah ha.. the bell with ribbon. it doesn't make any ding dong noice. It is nice to have such a place to visit when celebration is near. The place is full of cars. Either people are shopping or taking a stroll. But mostly there to shop.
The street with lighting, of course it will looks better at night compare to day.

This makes the place worth visiting or frequenting.

Hmm wondering when am I going to catch a few Chinese New Year decorations.

Blue Christmas

All these photos are taken in the Curve. First time there without camera. Second time there on purpose to do photographing.








It fun to visit these places. It really turned on the Christmas mode. Suppose to post the wordings long ago.. failed to do so.. maybe the line was not good..

Kinabalu Park part 3

Those are the houses that we can rent for a group of people. Ours was located farther than the one shown on the left. The top is covered with mist. It was really cooling.

Restaurant is also available in the park. Didn't dine in there cause it is high in price. Oh.. I did get a rain coat, a simple one and I have a chance to use it due to the rainy days. A bit unlucky to be there on rainy seasons. But I recalled it was mid of July...

The counter with customers asking questions. They are the team that I joined to climb the Mount Kinabalu.

The fire place is found in the house we rented. It has a few rooms in it. We did started a fire there but a small one. We even went through darkness for a while because of power cut down. It was a cold night. Too excited to sleep.

Mickey and Christmas

Christmas in One Utama. Staffs were decorating the area where sales on Christmas item is held. Actually there were 3 Christmas trees.

Baskets were being put surrounding the foot of the tree. The open space is close to Parkson One U.
Little Santas on the tree and also on the shelves. Little bears on the tree too. Is a good idea to decorate the tree in a house.
This is the third three behind the other two trees. These seems to be showing different seasons.

Aha.. a bear found near the cashier counter. And it cute..
At the concourse of One Utama. There are giant globes joint to each other, signify the outline of Mickey Mouse.
Event was for children, didn't pay attention to it. But did took some time to look at the pretty girl on stage. I mean the host.
The entrance to Mickey shopping area. Mostly Disney's product on sale. Can't find anything special for my son.

Kinbalu Park part 2

A map on a board outside the registration office. Showing the route to top of Mount Kinabalu.

Beside the map are the rules and regulations.

Another map found in side the registration office. This one is with some emboss work on it.

Can't remember which route we have taken. But I remember the route taken is the longer one. As the guide said it is easier to go up with the longer route.

Kinabalu Park part 1

The sign board indicating I was at Kinabalu Park. A bench is provided too.

Opposite of the sign board, across the road is a restaurant called Kinabalu Restaurant. Took my dinner there, the food is normal.

The entrance to Kinabalu Park. Arrived there with a van pre arranged to pick us up from the airport.

The air is fresh and cooling which reminds me of Cameron Highland.

On the way Kota Kinabalu

At the KLIA airport waiting to board the plane to Kota Kinabalu (KK). That is an Air Asia plane with the Lat's drawing.

Was there to do some climbing and river rafting.

Do I enjoy it.. anyway it is an experience only once. Promise my self no second round.

Camera.. camera.. camera..

Nope I am not here to give any talk about camera. I happen to read soohk blog on his new camera. Congratulation on your new Canon 400D! I was tempted to get one as the new features caught my attention.. self cleaning on the picture capturing chip. I have been owning a film SLR and been using it on various trip. I have few lenses to go with. I only need to get a new digital SLR body.. still far away. It is quite fun to test out the features in a SLR camera. Alot of fun things can be experienced from a SLR compare to point and shoot.

The reasons I am not into digital SLR...
1) Those full frame SLR is very expensive (for me too expensive), those choices are Canon 5D and Canon 1D.
2) The lower model SLR hundred series does not have full frame (no doubt the latest feature is included.. the self cleaning thing)
3) The hundred and ten series seems not my prefered choice.

so have to wait... arrrgghh... when are camera manufacturer going to reduce the price..

While I am making sure that I do not miss the advantage of digital camera.. I indulge myself in a mini SLR like unit.. a Lumix FZ5 (becasue my Sony T1 give up on me).

The fun things about taking photo is sharing, whether the outcome of the photos is not a fantastic one, but the composition is interesting. Because of the word composition, time is taken away when indulge oneself in a camera.

A lot of photos I have seen, I still somehow find some of the photos is amazing. Where did the idea come from? Was always a question to me. As I have yet to produce mine.

Some tools are needed to produce certain effect, which hamper my choice of result. Somewhat lately, life changed, my camera sitting idle in a container. Hmm.. I wish I can start doing what I was doing when I have my first SLR. Oh the reason my blog was started, sharing photos that I have taken. Those photos in my blogs are from digital camera only a few from film.

So when am I going to do that again...arrgghh..

A car race in Titiwangsa

I was at Tasik Titiwangsa on last Sunday, watching people racing their cars. Below is some of the shots.










There wasn't much spectator as the track was under a hot sun. Fancying myself one of them, doing the race. Chasing time and someone else car.. hehehe.. I guess this is safer than chasing real cars on the road...
