Waroeng Penyet

The last time I have tried Indonesian food was in Indonesia. This one is at The Curve. Seen this restaurant awhile back. Recently only have I been there. The Teh Botol is a drink formulated in Indonesia. When the first time I tasted it, it feels odd to me. Till now it is. Can't bring myself to describe it, I mean the taste of the tea.

I was there with my wife, so I made the order. Oh, the food is to be ordered at the counter. More like going to KFC or McDonald or fast food outlets. When I was there, the place is packed. No empty seat available. I was about to leave, a table got emptied. Taken the table, waitress and waiter came and went from the table. First the table was cleared. Then I was given a form and a menu. On receiving the form and menu, ooo... it feels like Oldtown Kopitiam. Then I started to read the menu and filled the form. Then I was sitting waiting for a waiter to serve me. Then only realised that I have to order at the counter. As the menu has written the self service word.

At the point of time I was alone. My wife was shopping. And I was thinking, how am I suppose to leave the table, without other customer taking over the table. At last, taken the risk.

At the counter, I was told the taufu, tempe and telor penyet is not available. So order the bakso penyet and ayam penyet. Later I added a siaomai. I am not able to share a photo on it as I was so eager to taste it. I was a bit disappointed as it does not taste as those I have taken in Jakarta. The penyet is a bit on the sweet side. The ayam penyet was not that crispy, much on the soft side. It does taste good no doubt. Just me being picky. Yup, not to forget the sambal come with the penyet tasted fresh.

Most likely I would try again on a day where there isn't so many people. Hoping it will taste different. And more toward the one I have tasted in Jakarta.

Swiss Garden, Lumut

I was there on holiday trip with families. Only there for one night. Arrived from Penang. Reason being there, children get to play water.

With a little help of GPS we managed to arrive this resort. It is quite deep in no where, especially for tourist. We almost lost the last turn, thanks to the beautiful evening sun which was glaring at us and made reading signboard difficult. The beach is not something to be happy about. As the sand has shells on it. The sea is "teh tarik" spilt. I didn't see many people went into it. Most of them chosen the swimming pool. I was there for a couple of hours with my son enjoying the sand scooping stuff.
There are quite a number of activities available. Canoeing, volley ball, archery, tennis, the rest I didn't checked. The room is nice minus the stuffy odour, as if the room is not being used for sometime.

One thing surprise me, is the buffet dinner in the building. Not much of choices, maybe due to less customers at the resort. There is another one at the sea side, which I didn't have a chance to try it out.

The morning breakfast, is adequate. Nasi lemak, fried mee, buns, bread butter, omelet, tea, coffee, fruit juice, fruits. It makes me fill up my stomach to the max.
Oh, they even provide a welcome drink.

PC Fair, KLCC

I was at the PC Fair today. My sole purpose was to get a glimpse of HTC HD2. The best part was I even get to fiddle with it. What surprise me was the size of the screen. With numbers I didn't get to visualize it. On paper it stated 4.3 inch. On the actual thing, it is huge. It is slim. I went gaga over it. But the price is the stopper. To top it, there is no stock available in Malaysia. Oh.. when is the price coming down?

HTC HD2... when do I get it

now now, this stuff is already in the market. Less than RM3K. It is still a big bomb. Wondering if there is any telco carries this phone, where the price is lower when bundle with their package. This is something I am crazy to have one but not crazy enough to cash it.

I guess I have to be strong not to get lure into having one... argghhh.. must find way to.. own it? I think I better get a try on it first. It may turn out not so hot to me..
