More from Cameron Highlands

Hmm.. actually there are photos of Cameron Highlands in my recent post. This time different set of pictures were taken. A cool place I guess, no fan or air-con is needed. But sometimes some sort of hand fan is being hunted, when the grinning sun is high up.

On my way up to the mountain, stopped at a town call Ringlet. To be precised, at a petrol station, taking a leak cause the water bag was full. A closed up of a Land Rover. News says this stuff does goes around the mountain road at high speed. So watch out for it. And don't block them, just give way. Put on your car signal, wave your hand or do whatever to tell them to over take your vehicle.
These vehicles can be classified as 'dinosaurs'. Looking at it, giving an idea these vehicles can fall a part the moment it start rolling on the road. So becareful and don't be surprise seeing a wheel pass you.

We check into a hotel. The next morning the ray of light barging in to the room. Standing behind the curtain with the window opened. There goes the vegetable farm. A source of income to people in Cameron Highlands.
A man with his wants, becomes a need, leeds to addiction, hard to quit. Was trying to find an angle for this guy in my shot. Since he is naturally there, I can't get him to post the way I want him to.
The beauty of morning sunlight really made me look at it for long moment. Seeing the horizon with blue sky and white cloud.

At times there is mist lying on the foot of the mountain. Make the cool become cooler. The man is still there enjoying the smoke. Just does the smoking warmed him up?

Roamed around to soak my eyes in beautiful flowers. This happened to be on the torns. I didn't know cactus blooms flower as beautiful as this. Translucent petals.
This amazed me too. Would the flower feeled the pricky torns belows it? Maybe.. maybe not.. I think not, as it is a part of it.
Patterns can be found when they are arranged. Cactus always looks beautiful in it owns way. It does attract a lot of human, even though it does not welcome them. All the cactus was found in a farm and it is for sale.


I was here for tea. It is call Smoke House, located between Tanah Rata and Brinchang. Inside, it has a British setting. A place to visit when you are there. As most of it is preserved as it is. I have photoed this place a many times. Just can't get the camera away from the place.

Lighting Sunway Pyramid

These photos was taken quite sometime ago. I think it is still there. The lighting along the street is always glaring. As celebrating Malaysia 50 years. Bathing in the lights at the same taking in the toxic gas. When nose get sensitive, it is not a place to stay long. I was not there for more than half hour and with my son losing interest by the minute.

Start the climb

After getting out of the van, we have to walk to the station where we registered to climb the mountain. The wheather was an issue. It was not that sunny. Cloud was every where or was it mist. The climb to the station was steep. This was discouraging me. I was panting to the station. The air was refreshing and cooling. The turth is I was really excited.
A sign board saying that I was at a resort. This baffled me. As to me, resort is a place where one relax and enjoying a slow life. Maybe I missed something here.
After every one of us log in. We move to the exit where it will take us to the top. The trail we took was called Mesilau trail, which we were informed to be longer and eased on travel. What striked me was I have more to see and photograph. There were choices of two trails. This was what we have chosen.
The first stairs after the exit. Definitely there are more to come. With this man made route, it is not a surprise to see elders going up to the mountain. All is green and the sky is not blue, it was shades of white and grey.
A wooden man made stairs. A ladder to be precise. Someone must have delibrately left it there so we have a good start, else I would have turned back. Nah that is not me.. no matter what I must make sure I am up there.

On the way to Mount Kota Kinabalu

Me woke up feeling the chill in the morning. Preparing to pack and leave the the banglo unit. So eager to start the exercise of my life. It was still dark out there. As I was getting ready, no doubt someone is earlier than me to get a glimpse of Mount Kota Kinabalu. Later me clicking my camera away. Making me some memories.
We gather at the station or office before fueling ourselves. The food does no justice to my taste bud. But the energy is needed here. Chomping away as much as I can packed in. Sun is rising creating rays of light from my right. There goes the crooked surface of the mountain which was my target. The one thing that I did do was to regret for not taking the photos of my small bag being weighed. We were engaging the porters to lug our bags. Can't really recall the charges. So there goes our challenged, to make the journey more pleasurable.
We got into a van taking us to the foot of the mountain or more like one quarter of the mountain. On the way, we passed a morning market along the main road. Thought of getting something for lunch later but ended up taking photos instead. The weather was promising, cloudy yet bright. Was looking at the mountain and hoping no such scenery the next morning. As I understand the journey to the top is the second part of the journey. If it is too cloudy then not sunrise view. This reminds me of Cameron Highlands. It is cooling on our way to the mountain foot. The rest of the ride was not comfy. So hmmm.. my butt was not save. It was sored when I got down at the destination...

My latest hobby

Recently, like begining of this year. I was getting a hand itchy. There goes me landing in plastic modeling world. Really think about it, I like this stuff years ago. At that point of time, I wasn't that excited. I got myself some of the tools to start rolling my little pastime. Seems some part of me is not participating. Soaking myself in my other hobbies and major of it being lethargic.

When it starts, it nuture my attitude toward patient. Not that it really cools me down, but more of striding my patient along with months. To really describe me, I am the opposite of patient.

The worst part of me arised with this new hobby. As I launched this hobby, it consumed me financially. I have yet to set of the alarm in the finance department. Monthly, new model was landing my home. I just halted from doing so. Merely waiting for those interest me badly.

To do it, time is a major role. As I am now a family man, more time with my son and my love one. So there goes my hobby which I only allows an hour daily.

Oh.. this is many people hobby. Some makes money and the money is as hugh as tens of thousand.

For those, have nothing new to experience, this is one of them. Not to discourage, one will part a great deal of hard earned cash to finished a nice one. Merely getting it assembled will only makes you give away RM20. Yet it will exhilarate for a short time.

Reason Blog Not Updated

I am updating the post below this one. As I find there is not a point for a new post, since the photos added is from the same place.

Because I can't find time to do it at home. (ermm.. lousy excuse). Actually the net at home is slow, this really discouraged me. In the office, something is wrong with the net, I can't post anything. I guess it is getting dusty here.

Lunch at K.L. Hilton

Pretty ladies.. busy.. serving me and other customers. They do dress in chinese way. This is normally seen in Chinese fine dining. I am really not knowing what is written on the wood. At time I feel I am out of place, when seeing Chinese characters. So there goes another banana man in this part of the earth. I seems to forget what attracted me taking this shot, the setting of place or the gurls.. hehehe..
A bit of confusion take place here. The main entrance of a restaurant. But we were sitted out side of it. I didn't manage to capture any of the room that we were borrowing. Flocks of white geese linings the way to the comfort room. There is even a bar, but this is the first time I've seen a bar in an Asian dining area. Hmm.. serving tea over the bar?... more like liqour in tea color.. hehehe..
Descending the flight of stairs. It is really hugh from below. This I guess shows how generous public is to the place. Where profit is reaped to fund the hugh icon. No doubt it makes the entrance a grand one. But I discovered it from the wrong entrance, therefore I am less enthralled. At time this photo was taken, this icon does enlivened the environment. With this size, definitely a magnet for photography.

Hmm.. who is this guy? Or should I put it as what is it? From the costume this guy is ancient by our human standard. A closer look there is a kind of currency on top. It is ancient eh. Definitely a rebuild in modern environment. Shall I call it or him a money god?

There are tables for two. the decorations is impressive. This is situated outside the room where we dine.
A long nose teapot. Ginseng tea is serve with this tea pot. This is my first time looking at such tea pot. Many styles were used when getting the tea out of the pot.
In a room with a table for dining. Before the arrival of the dishes, top of the table were the decorators. Figures and basket of spices. I don't get to see this before. This is my first time seeing such decorators on the dining table.
Top view of the plates, bowls, spoons, and pair of chopsticks were placed for each diner. Oh, the beatiful plate is for decoration. Once the dishes arrived, rice was served on a white plate, instead of the plate in the photo.
This is a large table that accomodated 14 of us. Again I have not tried sitting together with 13 people at one table.

The food is good but not fantastic. The price is high. This is also the first time I am dining at a high price. The highest I have dine before was around RM1,000.00.

I specially thanks my sister and my brother-in-law for the lunch.

Flowerthon

Floral display at Sunway Pyramid, actually I was there to capture Chinese New Year decoration. I have read it in the newspaper, there are floral competition going on in shopping complexes and hotels.
So I took the chance to photo these. And I recalled my digital camera battery was out of juice. I guess it was a bee, a hugh one. There was another of this hanging on the artificial tree.

The amount of flower used was alot. But I can't pictured the scene here. I saw something crawling on top of it. And I freezed it in this photo.

A caterpillar in colors. That was what found on top of it. I was quite amazed at the idea of these decoration.

Another interesting theme, under water more like under the sea. Unfortunately, those fishes were plastics. Overall it was beautiful.

Here goes the flower in circle. There was these guys around changing those dying flowers to a fresher ones.

Decoration along Sunway Pyramid

These photos were taken after the Christmas day.
Snowman and the sleigh, the decoration along the road were interesting. As i wrote this the decoration changed to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Snow in colors and enlarged to giant size with electric flowing through it. I was there taking photo by myself, while my wife and son is waiting in the hotel lobby. It was drizzling out there. Else will strolled my son to see the lighting, he likes it alot.
Ah ha.. the bell with ribbon. it doesn't make any ding dong noice. It is nice to have such a place to visit when celebration is near. The place is full of cars. Either people are shopping or taking a stroll. But mostly there to shop.
The street with lighting, of course it will looks better at night compare to day.

This makes the place worth visiting or frequenting.

Hmm wondering when am I going to catch a few Chinese New Year decorations.
