One Utama Christmas

I was curious what Christmas was like in One Utama. So drove there just to do some photographing. This One Utama a shopping complex which is big due to new extension happen a few years back.
This one I found it at the new wing of One Utama. I think nowadays the decoration for any celebration is put up in this new wing. There is a crowd in this hall. You can see somesort of a castle or a building which is colourful and including the lightings. Eventhough it is out of proportion, it is a good one.. mean for children or turning adults into children.. not in size but the feel when adults in there. That is how I felt when I was there.
This one was at the left side of the so-call castle. There were stalls in front of it. A lot of novelty items waiting to be purchase and give away on the Christmas day. At the foot of those colorful boards, people sat on the make shift stairs.. resting their legs for walking around too much ( or they are just plain lazy) which will lead butt pain no doubt for sitting too long.. hehehe..
A close look at one of the stalls. Cute stuff for purchase. Even mini Santa was put up for those who loves him to take him home. Or for someone the purchaser care to give it to. There are many other characters there. Of all stalls this was the stall I like the most. It really makes me felt wonderful being in that stalls. The reason was simple, I like that kind of stuffs. Make me look like a girl eh? I never bother on that kind of remarks, cause I liked it too much, it makes me feel very young any time.. hehehe..
As I was looking for escalator to go up, I saw this little Santa at one of the counter. This little Santa was bowing all time. Stagind on top of the flowers and white ribbons decorated with blue tinkles. With this really makes the place exciting to hang around. The Christmas season was felt in the building. The only thing was not all space in One Utama is decorated. Expensive la.. hehehe..
The reason I went up the escalator was to take photo from top. I can get the crowd here and some of the Christmas decoration. There is an event going on, that is why a lot of children is in front of the stage. And the parents at their back to watch after them. A lively environment. I think they are seeing their Santa on stage. Hmm.. how if Santa was to give me a present. Maybe a Ferrari.. hehehe.. not toys eh.. real stuff..
Went out to the new wing of One Utama main entrance. I was curious about the decoration there. My disappointment, not much was done. I guess all was spent in there. A few trees on the left and right side of the main entrance. I thought it would slightly grander than this. If I recalled this is the best among all shoping complexes in Klang Valley. Pardon me if I am wrong.
As I was facing the road, there it hangs the lighting. Not bad. It look like sparks raining down from the building.
I went closer to the road. There lightings decorated along the road. See the reflection on the road surface? Raining and it was still raining that time. I seldom do this kind of photography. It is nice to take photos with reflection on the road especially after a rain. After rain it is cosy to stay at home snug under a blanket... hehehe.. lazy me.. So I haven't done that so far. This one is so happened I was stucked in the building when I was about to leave for home. New Year is round the corner..

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! everybody.

KLCC with its XMas Decoration

Yesterday I was there, KLCC the twin tower in Malaysia. The XMas decoration was removed from concourse.. that was fast. If I have not mistaken, normally the decoration will last after New Year, at least. Anyway, got some of it before he Christmas Day.
The day I was there to snap some of the nice things in KLCC. I was there with a colleague on lunch hour. Before taking lunch I snapped some photos. Then lunched, then photographed again. There goes the deers pulling a carriage. When I took this photo, I thought I can't tell whether I can convey the message to viewer. I hope you do see it as a deer and not somthing else. Oh.. you can find the same deer snapped in a different angle in soohk's blog. Ain't the decoration nice?
Behind the deers is this tree, I think it is six storey tall. With decoration on the trees. It nice to see a different and better and bigger decor on the tree. What I remember last year wasn't this great. Damn! my camera don't have a wider angle so have take it this way.. Notice those things hanging beside the tree? It is still there in KLCC, maybe for New Year celebration. But I can't quite get the design. What it signify. Most likely the various culture in Malaysia bind to one. Not bad huh..
Here is a close look on the decoration found on the tree. Big huh? The biggest I have seen so far. Everything in gold color. Must be for prosperity. They even put up a dry stick around the tree, in imitating the winter season. I guess Malaysian is getting creative. I should say is always creative. Given my assumption is correct about the decoration is done by Malaysian. It should be, since there are many of them in Malaysia. I like art too. The only thing is, the art in me never reach out to the public long time ago.. hehehe.. rusted a bit.. would want to pick it up again..
On the other side of the tree, there is an inside view of a house. Where the soft toys celebrating their Christmas at the fire place. Chit-chatting, asking how everyone is doing. Even they hanged up a big sock for Santa present. I gues many will be doing that on the Christmas day. Me too.. celebrating Christmas with a dinner. This one will posted later.
After the lunch at the food court located on the second floor of KLCC.. I can't remember which floor I was at when this photo was taken. A closer look of the decoration hanging around the tree. Small lighting is hanging together with others big decoration. There are transparent banner too. Everything is in gold color, just as the decoration on the tree. If you guys are in K.L. and haven't seen this. Just be there to immense yourself in it.
In front of the tree, there are four people in group. Playing their instrumental. What else, Christmas musical. A lot of people watching them. Popular eh? Me watching their performance for a while too. I managed to get this last Friday. I don't know if they are playing any other days. But as of yesterday, they are no longer there.
My last photo for this post, a white Christmas tree. Nice? I am sure it is. This one was put up to promote Loreal products. What range of products, I am not aware. What I saw was the tree.. hehehe.. Malaysian get to enjoy this even though it is put up in a short duration. I am sure some of those visiting KLCC get to see them too.. I mean the decoration. Christmas spirit is still around, will continue posting the Christmas decoration before New Year..

The Curves with Christmas Decor

The Curves is opposite of Ikano Power House. The Curves is a shopping complex or more than that. But on Christmas decor will be mention in today post.
This is one of the hall in The Curves where the Christmas decor is set up. I was wondering what does that mean, the 3 lighted things. There were crowded there too. Wanted to make this brighter.. don't have the right tool in the computer and my camera cannot stand on a tripod.. anyway my camera is not an idiot proof camera.. hehehe.. Back to the photo, 1 big tree and 6 small trees. surrounding this hall is stalls that sell.
One of the decor hanging from the ceiling. Can't picture the whole thing, cause the camera lenses is not having a wider angle. So it suddenly strikes me to picture it this way.. from the bottom. This picture is a bit blur, cause the shutter is slow and I don't have a steady hand. Anyway, to me it is better than none. Maybe I should use a better camera to get a nice photo of it.. hmm.. will think about it.
A lot of bubble in the dim lighted area. On each bubble reflection on it surface. Gives additional lighting to the area. Making it beautiful to see. Can't see through cause behind the bubble is dark.. nah.. it is not translucent. There are alot on a tree. Make me wonder how many can I affort to make it on my Christmas tree at home. I think I need alot of this to make it nice.. means more money is involved. Now I really have to think twice about the decoration on a tree at home. It is not cheap then I shouldn't buy it. But it can be reused many time then I should think about purchasing it. But I am stingy.. aiya.. just go to this complexes and enjoy it there, even that is not cheap too.. petrol and parking fees. The further I am from this places the more money is burned. Stop it! It is Christmas..

Merry Christmas!!!!! to ALL out there

Found XMas in Ikano

How come I didn't visit Ikea. Hmm... should be there to check out the decor. Actually I was in Ikea but I didn't went in through the main entrance. I curi curi using the payment counter to go in and check the toys for kids. Didn't found any interesting ones. Anyway, here are what I captured in Ikano.
This tree was everywhere in Ikano. Couldn't find any big XMas tree. I guess this will do to lighten my post. I was trying to find one that didn't have anybody in front of it. So this is what I get. But it is a bit empty. Hard to capture the picture I want. Should have waited for more people at the back of the tree. Make it more lively. Now a days I don't have the luxury to wait for the moment to capture the view that make the picture ok. Having someone with me a nice, so got forgo the waiting time.
Took this on the same tree I have taken picture of, above. A rattan ball in red color and some shining material on it. Next to it, a big ribbon. I always ask myself, why I didn't do the same to the XMas tree at home? Hmm.. poket aku dah bocor, tak punya wang (there is a hole in my pocket, don't have money). Will try this again next year, got to make sure my pocket is intact.. hehehe..
As I was passing the main area of Ikano. I saw something hanging in the air. Seems to me it looks like an angel. Got closer.. yup.. definitely an angel and not only one but a few.. Aren't they too big in size? I have to agree with who ever designed the decor on the size of the angel. If too small then not many will noticed. Aren't they beautiful? Below this angels are items for sale to celebrate Christmas. There is a stage with kids performing dance, sing song and teasing other kids on the floor.
Very nice of the mangement to think of this to entertain the children and the adults no doubt (to those interested). This is the stage I mentioned earlier. Is the castle nice? It is a bit small but big enuf for the children and the adults to take photos. This kid in red cap or Santa Claus cap is good in singing that is why many children is attracted to scene. Can you see them in the photo? I guess not, they are blocked by the adults. So those with children take them out there and photograph them for a sweet memories.
Went up another another floor higher and trying to photo the angels in different angle. Now you get to see the crowd down there. I guess everybody is doing their last minute shopping. I haven't find myself a gift. What should I get?

This is what I get in Ikano. If you have not been there take a stroll just to spent some time enjoying the hard work of those who put up these.. enjoy..

X-mas in StarHill

After visiting Sungai Wang Plaza, I crossed the road to Lot10 which opposite of Sungai Wang Plaza main entrance. Can't find big x-mas tree in LOT10.. LOT10 is a shopping plaza. Then walk along the famous Bintang Walk (will post some photos there after the New Year) to KL PLaza (previous post) then to the next building StarHill. There was a change to the main entrance of StarHill...
There is a sliding glass door.. a new thing.. on the sliding glass door, alot of giant snow sticker.. all over. Behind the door a x-mas tree (as can be seen on the left photo). I exclaim to myself.. WOW! light glow below the tree and it is red. Some people were there snapping their personal collection with the tree. My wife was not interested. So the tree is lonely in the picture. Anyway, it still exude it beauty.
On top of the tree, all blue over. If you pay attention, something is hanging in the free. WOW! from me again. This is really the first time I experienced such a nice and romantic decor. Oh not to mention there is a guy at the door to attend those who inquired the whereabout in StarHill. The lighting seems to change from one color to another. There are only two color.. can't tell what is the other one.
Snow! Giant snow! Floating in the air. Manmade of course.. hehehe.. In the photo "the Regent" was captured. A hotel across StarHill. I was standing there admiring the beauty of the decoration. It was a bit quiet in this particular area. Maybe it is late.. is 8pm late? The show is brighter maybe there is a light is on.. hmm.. why wasn't I looking for the source of light.. maybe the I forgot since I am enjoying it.. hehehe..

So for those in Kuala Lumpur, if you haven't been there. Try to haul your heavy butt and give yourself a blue light bath.. maybe bring a long wine and take away food to munch while feasting your eyes and mind.. hehehe..

Christmas decor in KL Plaza

Below are the photos in KL PLaza.
Main hall in KL Plaza. On the left and right, are items on sale. Some of it are Christmas decoration stuff. Seems to be quiet in here.
There were a few of this skeleton figurine along the left and right of the hall. I think it is an angel, halo on top and wings at the back. Shouldn't it be wearing some clothing?
End of the hall, a man made arch, with street lamps. I find the kid is interesting. Wearing Christmas clothing in red. Already celebrating and welcoming the Christmas Day. I took this as quick as I can, as the kids is a bonus in this photo. There is suppose to be a black satue at the back of the kids, that is why the kids is standing, to take a photo with it.
A closer look at the arch. Wanted to go in there, just to have a look. It just didn't cross my mind or maybe I am shy.. hehehe.. All the photo is slightly dark. Cause my camera is not good in dim lighted area. And on top of that no money to replace the camera.. hehehe..

It Christmas Season..

I am in Kuala Lumpur.. taken photos on Christmas decoration..
This simple christmas tree with minor decor was set in the place where I stay with my wife. Nothing much some wrapped up box beneath the tree. Some cones, dried cones. Some toys to fill the tree beneath.. hehehe... Ok Ok lets get to those serious ones..
Christmas is around the corner.. so I went around looking for nice decoration or something to admire at. This one was taken in Sungai Wang Plaza. There was a stage show promoting Power Rangers and it's products. Did you notice the christmas tree on the left? Yup, hidden by some decors. There are lightings hanging almost everywhere. That was the only decors I find interesting in Sungai Wang Plaza itself.
This one, I found it outside the Sungai Wang Plaza, the main entrance. It has a Samsung name on it. Self explanatory, put up by Samsung. As there was a Samsung counter in front of it. A lot of people taking their photos with this tree.
As I was on my way across to another plaza, in search of another decorated tree to fill my camera, I found this. This one is along Sungai Wang Plaza, beside the photo above. And it is busy with human.. as I was one of them using the walk way.. will be there again after Christmas celebration.. or sooner.. hmm.. most likely not. Ok will post more soon of somewhere else with Christmas decoration....
